Fisk University Transcript Release and Financial Obligation Policy
This policy establishes Fisk University's procedures regarding the release of student transcripts, along with the institution’s approach to managing unpaid student account balances. It complies with the U.S. Department of Education’s final regulations, effective July 1, 2024, regarding transcript withholding for students who have received federal funds.
Effective July 1, 2024, under new federal regulations, certain students with outstanding debts may be eligible to receive their transcripts. This eligibility applies to:
- Students who received Title IV federal funds
- Students that fulfilled all institutional financial obligations during the period when those funds were disbursed.
The Office of the Registrar at Fisk University will issue official transcripts of a student’s academic record upon request for students who have met requirements listed above. Transcript orders are reviewed daily via Parchment to assess whether a transcript can be released despite any holds. For inquiries regarding outstanding balances and transcript eligibility, please contact the Office of Student Accounts at studentaccounts@love365cn.com. Please note, only semesters that have been paid in full will be released and registration holds will remain in effect for unresolved balances. Students must ensure they are fully cleared to register for courses. In addition, degrees will not be conferred for students with unpaid balances until the financial obligations have been fulfilled.
This policy applies to all current and former students requesting official transcripts from Fisk University.
Fisk University is committed to supporting our students’ academic success and ensuring they can continue their educational journeys without unnecessary barriers.
